After successful implementation in Samarkand TezCard has decided to work with Global Transport to upgrade fare collection system in Ferghana as well.
By december 2018 the majority of public vehicles were equipped with transport terminals able to charge off fare automatically. The big bulk of transport cards was issued. All the conductors, who were kept on working, received a portable terminal compatible with bank cards, transport cards and NFC payments.
Interviewed passengers confirmed that this convenient method of payment has increased thenbsp;attractiveness of public transport in the eyes of citizens. There is no need to count coins anymore and it is easy to replenish a card.
City administration finds the system useful, because now they posses transparent data on passengers accounting and transport enterprises' revenue. Accurate statistics allowed to analyze and upgrade routes and schedule.
Supported by Vinnitsa municipality Global Transport have issued a Vinnitsa Citizen Card for comfortable fare payments.
This year all the trams, trolley buses and buses of the city were equipped with contactless validators. Linear conductors were taught to use portable terminals compatible with bank cards, transport cards and NFC payments.
The fare payment system upgrade was an important part of major city development plan initiated by Ukrainian administration. Vinnitsa Citizen card will be used in the future in different areas: from social sphere to healthcare field.
Revenue collected after few months from new fare collection system installation allowed Kokshetau municipality subsidize transport enterprises and start renovation of the bus fleet.
During an official briefing with Kokshetau mass media and bloggers Murat Tyrspekov (head of LLP "KazInterSoft") has commented the upgrade of payment system in public transport of Kokshetau:
"In 2019 together with city administration, we have realized the big project in modernization of local transport. It helps to manage routes and schedules effectively, plan further developments and release additional fund to purchase new modern vehicles without tariff growth.
Similar projects have been realized in the country capital Nur-Sultan and Almaty, and now we discuss system implementation in all regional centers of Kazakhstan".
Our system allows to make differentiated tariffs for every category of public. In Kokshetau there are three types of transport cards: regular, school and preferential. To pay a fare a passenger should replenish the card before the trip via Qiwi terminals or Qiwi and Kaspi.kz mobile applications.
